OK, so I am planning on upscaling my collection significantly as well as look to breeding at some point so thanks to good old ebay, got these in the UK.

Thay are delli/food grade tubs approx 3cm high and 5cm wide (at widest point). They have a hinged lid and cost £8.99 for 100 and that included delivery so thought I would give them a go.

Resons for choosing these over the normal spiderling tubs we usually get
1. Price (at least half of what I have seen for the normal pots)
2. Wider so better suited for keeping Ts in the tub a bit longer
3. More easily stackable
4. They are food grade plastic and so the nasties that you can get with some plastic material is all removed
5. Hinged, I prefer as less chance of losing the lids.....lol
6. Packaging possibilities, there is lots of room for tissue etc to wrap your T in if posting.

The only negatives I can see
1. Not suitable for arboreal slings
2. They are slightly opaque so you cannot see the little Ts as freely as the clearer spiderling pots.
3. Does not allow for a massive amount of substrate given the height.

All in all though, happy with these. I am not sure if the company I purchased from, which is in the UK, delivers anywhere else. But if you want to get some of these or use as a comparison here is the eBay link.

Thanks for taking the time to read. Was a bit long.......lol

Great find :)
Yep, all in all a good buy. If nowt else, my middle child is doing "home ec" or whatever they call it these days, so she can put all her oil and spices etc to take to school. At 9p each, who cares!

That's a great idea too. I bought my last batch of 1" vials from Poland for 6p each but obviously there would be postage on top.

They make great feeder sorting cups also ;) Only thing i don't like about those is they're pretty flimsy, be careful closing the lid so you don't smoosh the T.

Indeed they do. Have used them for that as well. Yes not the surest but as long as you treat with a little finesse, I think they will be ok.

I use similar for my smallest babies. Love the hinged lid. I'm the worst about dropping them. Then my old chi mix runs off with them :)
