Hey, a few weeks into the hobby with a sling(Nhandu Tripepii), it ate last week Saturday, now its refusing food and the abdomen seems much darker than last week. It's also just chilling in its hide but did walk around when poked.

Think I'll leave it alone for a week or two and see how it goes.

I have a nice macro lens(MP-E 65mm), would I be able to sex it using the molt at this size? (About 8mm vangs to butt if I had to guess) Even maybe using a magnifying glass?

Regardless I'm pretty happy that it seems like it's doing well.

Premolt can range from a week to a few on slings ey???

I'll try my best not to disturb it.

This was last week's photo.

It sounds like premoult to me- be prepared they can keep you waiting quite a while but nhandu's certainly don't take as long to moult as a brachypelma does for example :)
If you do choose to still offer food just make sure it's prefilled so it won't harm your sling and you can easily remove the prey item the next day, hope that helps :)
