When a male tarantula molts and his new tibial hooks are now present does this mean he has officially started his male maturity?

Not all
Not all species have tibial hooks, look for bulbs/emboli on the modified pedipalps. But yes, this means he just completed his ultimate molt.

Well, that means my Grammostola Grossa is mature ahead of my female by a good bit. She is only 4" dls. Hopefully, if she keeps eating well, I can have her up to size in a year.
