Sex question / growth rate

So I got two P murinus slings at the same time, from the same breeder. They were both tiny, say 0.5" (dls) or under.

In 7 months one has got to 2" and the other one hasn't even reached 1" yet. The big one is more than twice the size.

Is it safe to assume that the big one is a male and the small one is female? Or do they just grow at different rates anyway?

Thinking about it the small one did have to grow 3 legs back when I got it so I'm wondering if maybe that slowed its growth down a bit.

I've often asked myself the same question! The difference you notice is eloquent. But as fas as I've seen (and asked around me...), it doesn't seem to be an accurate way to be sure about the gender. It seems that they can grow at different rates anyway... You will know soon, because males P murinus mature relatively fast, and they are greatly smaller than females.
