Sadly I found my beautiful Paraphysa sp.Tiger, Arica, had died last night. She had flipped onto her back as if to moult but died in the process.

I originally bought a Paraphysa sp.Tiger juvi back in February 2015 but it died after a couple of weeks. The shop kindly sent me a replacement. Arica was slightly larger than the original one, she moulted a couple of months later but since then no more moults. Over the last few weeks I'd noticed that she'd been less active than normal and guessed she may be in premoult. I'm now suspecting that she was probably a mature female when I got her and that her time had come.

I shall miss her, she was so placid although she could be stubborn when it suited her.

So sorry to hear that. They're a gorgeous little species, and you had some good pictures of that pretty little girl.

Thank you. They are a beautiful little T and there should be more of them in collections. I shall certainly get another at some point.

Aw Enn...so sorry. .

Thank you. It certainly came as a shock. My initial reaction was great she's moulting then I realised it was too late
