I spent a long time sitting on the bathroom floor with them. At one point, I exhaled a bit too much and they darted around the bowl. As much as I love them - that freaks me out a bit. I didn't even realize that I was holding my breath.
They were very good about moving. The old enclosure had so little substrate that it was bare in most spots. And I hated that the ceramic pot thing could rock back and forth so much.
They were very good with me taking photos of them. They are such wonderful little loves... although I did get a wee bit of hair kicking trying to get them back inside after they got used to wandering around a bit.
I wish I was more comfortable with their body language. When they dart around like that, it makes me start to shake.

Don't panic over their panic:) Gorgeous spiders! Remember when they flip out, calm and cool wins the day every time.
I do tell myself that, and I will get better at it, it is just that I am used to much slower adults until now. They are really very good, very forgiving, and I just have to keep calm and cool. I'll get better at it. :)

If you watch close you can see them tense up before they bolt, so you can be ready for it. If you handle them you can feel that also. They pull their legs in just a bit for that speed burst.

I tell my son it's his dragon breath when he does that ;)

My avics will attack your breath coming through the vent holes in their walls.

All my tensions with my older specimens vanished when I got my OBT. Now, I am thinking of a big a$$ enclosure for such a tiny sling so that no rehouse ever again!

Now don't get me wrong, OBTs are very cool because I love their coloration and the webbing so I went a got one. ;)
