Question about molt

hello! This is only the second time I've been through a moult with my Rose hair tarantula. She had a few before I got her though. Last time I found her after she moulted. Tonight, I found her upright and her abdomen is split open from the top. I can't tell if she is moulting or if her abdomen burst and she is dead. Asking for insight! Would a moult ever start with abdomen? Thanks. I'm pretty worried about her.

Agree with @Nicolas C splitting of the abdomen is bad bad, specially at the top where the heart is. Unfortunately i'd say that one is dead (or soon to be) without pictures to give us more info.

Thank you all. I thought it was bad news too but she did indeed molt! She's looking soft and shiny this morning. I'm so happy!

It was certainly not a very graceful molt, she was sort of splayed against the glass and looked like she had fell.
