They have a light gold fringe of hairs around the carapace and along the sides of legs 1 and 2 similar to Ornithoctonus aureotibialis. They look a lot like O. aureotibialis, but instead of the lighter grayish-black abdomen, they have a velvety, jet black abdomen. This might a locality variant of O. aureotibialis OR a new species in the family Ornithoctoninae. Imported size has been around 2.75" to 3.5" juveniles/sub-adults. It will be very interesting to see what these beauties look like full-grown and what their maximum leg span will be.
