We have a heating pad on the outer wall of his enclosure. It’s his favorite spot to hangout and nap. When our Smithi sleeps he is literally in a coma. He is a deep sleeper. Since his recent molt he isn’t fully use to his long lanky legs. Well....what happened is he fell asleep on the wall fell off landed upside down but he sleeps so deep that the fall didn’t wake him up. Once he starts to wake up, he jumps up and acts like nothing happened...he plays it cool. We saw this happen live and now we feel a bit more relaxed.  The cage isn’t too high and the fall isn’t deadly (thank goodness). I just wanted to take the time and thank everyone who reached out.  It’s amazing to be apart of such a wonderful tarantula community.</p></blockquote><p></p>
