It's not like TSS to make a mistake but at least they have promised to put things right quickly. Added bonus for you too, 4 freebies.

I know!!! I'm so jealous of everyone else's "freebees from mistakes." LOL!

@spidey noob Congrats on your new babies! Keep us posted on them. I would love to have a versicolor, but have avoided them because I've heard they are hard to raise up & die off as slings a lot. Something to do with them being really sensitive to getting the humidity & ventilation just right.

Anyone else have trouble raising A. versicolor slings?

@spidey noob Question.... I keep seeing:
0.0.4 Avicularia sp. "Guyana"
0.0.4 Avicularia versicolor
0.0.4 Aphonopelma anax
0.0.4 Aphonopelma sp. "Malinche"
0.0.2 Brachypelma boehmei
0.1.1 Brachypelma smithi
0.0.1 Brachypelma albopilosum
0.0.1 Brachypelma vagans
0.0.4 Ephebopus murinus
0.0.4 Nhandu chromatus

What are the numbers for? I see the third number is the number you have on hand of that species. Is it adult-juvie-sling? Or... male-female-unsexed?

I just lost an a versi sling. Saddest day ever. She was so healthy with no problems for almost a year. Molted twice. Then died out of nowhere. We don't get them in my area very often so it will be a while before I can get another one. Although I did find a tarantula rescue online that has Versi slings available. Might get one from the rescue. Adoption fee of $20 last time I looked.

I am in PA but the rescues were online. I also saw an OBT up to adopt for $40. It comes with everything needed. Enclosure water dish plant hide substrate and some feeder roaches. AWESOME deal!!

I bet I saw the same OBT as you, then...cuz it was exactly as you described...$40 w/ all the extras. Indeed, a great price. The website said that this is for experienced owners only and that they will make a judgement on whether certain T's can be adopted by certain people. GOOD!! A T treated with respect! Love it.

Yup! Same one! Love that people are taking action and sticking up for the spiders! I hate when people tell me that they are only good dead or whatever. Like they are my "dog" or "cat" so it's just as hurtful! I'm all got saving the spiders and letting them be loved. (As much as they will let us as humans lol. We feed them.. They love us. Haha!)

I don't think any of mine love me....in fact...I'd say my Emerald Skeleton HATES me! So far, anyway...haha And maybe my P. cancerides, too. o_O But I do think they appreciate/enjoy their enclosures, the supply of good eats, and the security of being "top dog" in their little world. That's good enough for me.:)
