Hey guys, both of my G. rosea recently molted... exactly one week apart! Both were confirmed female and also finally received their names. Just thought I'd share some updated pictures if anyone is interested.

This is Athena. I purchased her at roughly 4in from a local exotics shop. Here is a picture of her when initially purchased and then in premolt.

This is Artemis. She was purchased from PetSmart at roughly 3.5in. Here is a picture of her when initially purchased and again in premolt.

And now! :) I'm amazed at the color she gained in just one molt.

I still can't believe how vibrant the color is on these two. Not bad for a couple of pet rocks!

Nice photos dude :)
For me G.rossea is the one of the best tarantulas for photoshoting, her hairs looks awesome on pics :)

Thanks, matic. I'm very happy with these two. I thought Artemis would just be a basic brown form for life. I was pleasantly surprised when she gained all of that color. I hope it just continues to get brighter each molt. :)

Thanks Tgirl! Yeah she is crazy bright. I would put her at 4.25in right now, if that. She didn't get much bigger with this molt, but definitely female. I'm hoping her colors get even brighter with upcoming molts.
