What's going on ppeople? I spotted a chaco golden knee, that's what the person selling it for has it listed, The asking price is 100 dollars, The person listed it as an over 5 inch female, other then that its about, all I know. I haceosted a few pics, let me know what you think, but due to the fact I would like her, it is safe to say I will buy it.I would also like to ask, is this spider old enough to have matured enough to be sexed, and if so are there any tell tale signs, a novice looking could see? I will let you all know.

Yes iw ill take a look, I just wonder how the spider has been living, it seems the current owner, is a person who may move a lot? Also I am sure it is enclosed in a glass tank, with an small amount of coco, and a hide. I am also looking for good encloser ideas, for a spider of this size, I have a ten gallon fish tank, I will most likely use, it has a screen top, any info would be great!

I have a beautiful female chaco golden knee! She has 10 gallon aquarium/tank with a hide, water dish, and coco fiber substrate. They are a great T and you should have no problem sexing.

I found this in my garage, it housed gi joe dolls for year, could this be suitable for my new t? The size is 35" long x 6.5" tall x 17" wide. I just wonder if I build up the substrate to 4" would it be deep enough, I know you guys enjoy reading my post, so I will keep asking.

Kenny, I wonder why spiders should stay in small encloser's? I think with pretty much any creature, bigger is better. Is there problems with keeping a spider in a 200 gallon tank if you wanted to? For my enjoyment of keeping these beautiful creatures is to veiw them, which is hard to do in a plastic container. I am just starting out, and know you have years of experience.

the issue is mostly wasted space. Most Tarantulas (Goliaths being an exception) , have a relatively small range. And the mass majority of a large enclosure will be un-used. That creates a feeding issue. Feeding singular prey items, makes it very difficult for a T to regularly catch its prey.
