I have a Gram most low millions coming from Aureus Spiders in a couple of weeks. I have tried finding information about it to no avail. I know it's common name is Brazilian giant tawny red and it may or may not grow to 10 inches. Does anyone have any experience or knowledge of this species?

Sorry. It's canon now. Grammostlowmillions aureus. Dont bother correcting me, arachnologists. It's already done.

i suck at new world identification. i havent been following it, as I focus on USA species, mostly.

I found out that it is incorrectly classified. It is a G. Anthracina. Try that search and you will find a lot of good information.
So, what did you find out and how did you choose that particular species to keep as a new tarantula owner?

I love grammostolas and this is such a beautiful species. I have kept tarantulas in the past but after a roommate thought it was a good idea to handle my babies while I was not home (ended in tragedy ) I got away from them for awhile. I also got a new roommate. I am currently getting my daughter into tarantulas. She loves them. We have a B.boehmi and A.Seemanni.

She's 18 now. She's been asking for a tarantula for several years. I was a little bit worried about getting her one due to space issues. We already had reptiles, dogs, cats and a bird. It was a lot. We still have reptiles , a dog and a cat but also more space. Now we will fill extra space with tarantulas.
