I've just come back from my local garden centre that has a little pet shop in it with a new b vagan. The poor thing has not been kept brilliantly and the women selling it tried to charge me £6 for the ice cream tub enclosure it was in needless to say I declined her offer.

Its a Beautiful spider though and seems very calm at the minute I will try getting pictures later it's hiding in its hide at the minute

Stunning spiders. Hope he/she can now thrive in the right conditions. Look forward to the pics.

No, we were ok although we had one scary night. Were you ok, I know Knaresborough got some?
We were fine cheers the beck behind our house nearly came into the garden but that's all. I didn't know about Knaresborough I know a lad that lives in boroughbridge he got flooded out. Bad stuff at the minute. Just think though if it was as cold as it should be we would have snow drifts now not flooding.

And the flooding after the snow melted.

how big is it? mine just molted a few weeks ago and is now about 1/2-3/4" and just starting to show the black coloring. Hopefully next molt or 2 the red rump will show :) or maybe it shows now but he won't turn to face the right direction in his tunnel against he enclosure wall so i can tell for sure.

ah so he's huge compared to mine ;) I like watching go from the dull sling brown to their adult colors. My son's B. boehmei (mexican fire leg) was the dull brown until last molt, now his legs are a pinkish and the body is dark :)
