My first ever Avic. is coming tomorrow and I just wanted to check that the container is ok. The T is 1''.

Container is 3½ '' x 4¼'' x 8½ '' high. It has an air vent fitted on one side and 6 holes on the opp side with 5 holes on each of the other 2 sides. The substrate is just damp and 1'' deep.

I think most Avic expert now say to keep the substrate dry and add a water bowl instead. At 1" one of those micro dishes should be fine.
Looking forward to seeing it in there.

I would add at least another couple rows of air holes around the enclosure, cross ventalation is key for avics as stale stuffy conditions can be a death sentence for avics.I would also add a water bowl and probably another inch of dry sub as well..

Thanks both. I've made more holes, dried out the substrate a bit more and added more and water bowl is at the ready.
