I wasn't expecting this one so quickly as the recent orders from Poland have taken up to 10 days to get here but this one was dispatched Monday so it's only taken 3/4 days.

Please meet Alberta, my new Dolichothele diamantinensis (formerly Oligoxystre diamentinesis). I sadly lost my beautiful Culli during that horrendously bad moult month of January and when I saw spidersonline.pl only had one left I grabbed it. Alberta was named in tribute to those poor people who suffered the terrifying fires in Fort McMurray, Alberta, it was ordered at the height of the fires..

Congrats Enn! Beautiful (and rather small) sp.! Hope this one won't have a bad molt. They are stunning.

Thank you. It's only 1st instar so it's back to the beginning but at least I get to see those stunning colours develop all over again

congrats! I've been looking at getting one of those but they're expensive here.

I bought this one from Poland, they're cheaper there than in the UK.

It didn't take Alberta long to find a snug hidey hole

But a couple of hours later it was out exploring

I love the little ones. Look how cute!

Got 3 P.irminia slings today and within an hour they all had made their little tents. Sad time because now I'll probably never see them again lol

This one has done quite a lot of webbing overnight

@Kymura Don't worry, I saw quite a lot of my irminia as a sling. It was only after he moved into the ExoTerra that he tried to hide but he built his hammock against the glass so he was still visible but since he matured he comes out quite a lot. I have a new one coming this weekend :)
