I think I might have a problem. Where's it going to stop? I can't own one of every species of tarantula, can I?

I've just ordered:
Grammostola pulchra (1cm sling)
Brachypelma annitha (1cm sling)
Nhandu chromatus (5-6cm juvenile)
Want an Brachypelma annitha myself, and of course you can, long as you have the room and budget to feed them ^.^

Just received six slings yesterday. :|

I hate you both :p

Congrats both of you on the new additions, and the G. pulchra, i've been wanting one of those for a while now but can never find them. I'm waiting on taxes to come back so i can get my final order for a while. That could be anywhere from tomorrow to 3 weeks out lol

And like the others said, if you post about new additions you MUST post pics too. It should be a forum rule ;)

It doesn't stop...ever. ;)

Congrats on your new additions!

+ 1 to this... What stopped me was the lack of living space in our flat for my family. But otherwise...!!!

The big scheme is to order little slings. They don't take much space. Your wife won't realise what it means until they grow older and you'll have to get rid of her wardrobe to put enclosures...! (.... unfortunately, my wife did actually realise it... too soon... argh...).

Oh my word. I'm both jealous and curious, do you have an entire room dedicated to them?

Yep. It used to be the reptile room and about 3 or so years ago I got rid of all my small lizards and snakes and only kept a couple big snakes. Now it's the tarantula room and I actually just had to build some shelves in there this past weekend. Doubled my space :D I will say though about 80% of the recently acquired Ts are slings so they aren't taking up much space yet

That's why i'm stopping after my current must have list is filled. I won't have room for any more enclosure for full grown spiders than that. I told my son when he goes to college i'm taking over his room as the T room, he can sleep on the couch when he visits, but he wouldn't have it.
