I give them a name when I gendered them in 2-3inchesI do what you do, but I don't use common names, just scientific--its otherwise inaccurateand confusing. In addition, I don't give any of my Ts names until I have properly sexed them. That being said, I falsely named 2 males female names and one female a male name---still learning I guess.
Thank you sir for giving some ideas on how do you put gender in tarantulasMost of my slings only have the scientific names on the containers. The larger enclosures mostly have scientific & normally, (also,) one of the common names displayed. Only 2 of my T's have names on their tanks. These being Felicity (Flick) my stirmi, who only has scientific name & Felicity. And then Hohokam who has, A chalcodes, Arizona Blonde & Hohokam on their tank.
My Cyriopagopus albostriatus has scientific name & two of it's common names, (Edible spider & Thiland Zebra Leg,) on the enclosure.
Where sex is known, from a molt. I also have a pale red or a blue round sticker on the tank. Or is pink & blue now sexist & unacceptable?
