My tarantulas stare at eachother

I keep my T's side by side in glass enclosures. My golden blue leg baboon has been harassing my GBB for 2 weeks, exclusively staring directly at it through the glass. My GBB was ALWAYS out and my GBLB was RARELY out. Now that my GBLB has discovered the GBB, it is always out in the open staring. My GBB would stare back for a week, but now it stays hidden in its hide that it never use to use. What the heck is going on. I have a picture of OBT stalking my GBLB as well, and my OBT neverr comes out. I feel like my tarantualas stare at eachother more than usual. They are all side by side in glass enclosures

An example, OBT vs. GBLB

Perhaps they are just exploring. Also, if they are staring at each other it's probably because one looks like lunch to the other, lol. Tarantulas have poor eyesight and rely mainly on vibration to catch prey. I doubt they are staring at each other and this is more coincidence than anything. :)

is that a light I see on top too? they are probably moving towards a heat source as neither of those species would normally be up and down the glass or hanging from the mess. Probably only climbing if they think there is something worth climbing for.

Interesting observation, yeah that's my lamp for my room. I turned it on when I saw OJ Simson (OBT) on the mesh. I feed my dubias carrots, and my T's eat the dubias. Who knows. Maybe the carrots give them better vision haha

Yes, my tarantulas rarely, rarely climb like that. And my GBLB rarely leaves its mancave. But I swear, 99% of the time they're doing some weird behavior, they're facing eachother. Staring O.O always. I bought them all as slings. This behavior is new. I know this, because I stare at them O.O every O.O single O.O day..... O.O

Just another day. Monkey Bean is staring directly at Blueberry McMuffin. Blueberry McMuffin exclusively goes on the side Monkey Bean is on, and Monkey Bean always faces towards Blueberry McMuffin

stick some card between the 2 tanks or swap the tanks around and see if that alters their behaviour. ha ha

I doubt they even know and can see each other but will be an interesting experiment.

Chances are they both just like that particular spot but will be interesting to see if you swap the tanks whether they still face off or not.

great names btw :D

Okay, I'm going to put cardboard in between the enclosures and observe their behavior for a week, specifically monkey bean. Here is a picture I just took after feeding them.

Would be fun to watch what happens but chances are it doesn't make any diff.
It's probably just coincidental. The T's naturally pick the most comfy place to set up shop and that general area of the shelf was the most comfy when they tried to set up shop.
