Hey all
my new spiderling arrived today and is getting setteled in the enclosure. Hard to believe this little tiny one will get so big.
It's only mAybe a half inch now. Is there any advice for me to keep my new little one happy. Pictures to follow once our settles in

One note is to make sure that the humidity is sufficient. All small T's need moisture. I was surprised that my smithi, being an arid species, hung out constantly at the watering hole. What are you using for an enclosure? She still in a vial?

Right now she's in a 2 1/4" square x 4 1/4" tall with a hiding spot and small (water bottle cap) water bowl she's about a little smaller than a dime right now roughly
It was a "special" from Jamie's. Smithi and enclosure.
She's kind staying in the far corner near the fake plant. offered a pinhead yesterday, no interest.
She's in the same room as my other 2 ( Pink toe) and( GBB spiderling) average temp is about 70(lowest at night) to 80-82 during the day with a humidity about 35-50 in the room.
The individual enclosure humidity's are higher on average, due to misting and water dishes.

That is so funny! I was going to point you to Jamie's for their enclosures. May be ready to molt already? I have been surprised how T's I received mail order have molted in a day or two.

Oh? Good to know. Maybe that's what my smithi is setting for. Just hoping the shipping and moving to the new enclosure and surrounding wasn't too stressful for the little one. But I tend to fuss over the new critters for the first week or so. Then I relax a little once our sends they are settled lol

Thanks I will.
I think she ate the pinhead I through in last night before work. when I was checking the humidity this am it looked like she had the remains in her mouth. she's so small so it's hard to be certain. I didn't want to disturb her. now she's in the corner of the box close to the ground on her side sort of. tucked in too. so maybe molt?
fingers crossed lol
thanks for the help

I have to ask what is the 0.0.0 before you spiders mean?
for example
0.1.0 Thersphosa blondi

is it like male/female/juvenile or something?

I love Jamie's enclosures I have many of them keeps stuff looking uniform. IF you find opening them to be difficult use neosporin and put an ultra thin layer of it around the lip where the 2 pieces form. makes it much easier to open close.
