Slings refuse food for only a few reasons, pre molt, prey item intimidates too large, post molt but this is usually a very short time with slings and the last and worst is they are not doing well. Most slings I have lost is usually after a molt. If it's been 2 or 3 days and a sling won't eat a prey item it's already tackled that's a terrible sign in my experience. Most times they perish. Such is raising slings! If you start raising loads of slings you will lose some. I don't never accept this well and I will still blame myself though I know I shouldn't as any long time keepers will tell you slings can die even if everything is perfect. It happens.
