So... my tarantula molted today and I noticed that there is a little bump on her hack and I'm just really confused
I got this tarantula 3 month ago and this is the second time I saw her molted, she is about 1.5-2 inch now but her legs didn't even begin to turn blue, so I'm just thinking maybe...the seller sent me the wrong species ?

When a person sells you the wrong species like this, what do you do? Do you confront that person? Do you attempt a refund? Are you SOL? How do you handle something like this? Like I would be mad, right? Like say I asked to buy a specific species, says it's more expensive and they end up giving me a less expensive tarantula, like who wants to take this outside? Lol...

First off, welcome to the forum!
Please take a moment to say hello in the Introductions section.

Secondly, definitely not H pulchripes. Sorry.
Did your purchase from a hobbyist or professional breeder/retailer?
Either way, I'd start by contacting them; maybe with a better pic that clearly shows the horn.

Lastly, are you saying your tarantula molted twice in 3 months?

It's my first time dealing with something like this so I don't really know...guess I'll just contact them first and see how they response. I actually enjoyed my time with this tarantula so it's not that bad :D

Hi, thank you! I got this one from a retailer, they sell tarantulas and a lot of other animals and feeders, seems pretty professional but this is the first time I purchase tarantula from them so I can't say for sure... I have sent them a email telling the issue and hopefully there will be a response soon..

And yes, she molted twice in the past three months:)
