Welcome to yet again my stupid aah self thinking it's time to move spiders to new enclosure. I have 3 Balfs in 19x12cm. Some of them moulted. Not sure if 1 or 2. Hard to keep track of it.

I have a 20cm cube for them but I am not sure when is the time to move them there. One tarantula is easy for me to see more or less but 3 that just sit in one place is hard. The cube would give them more vertical space to web up and stretch after moult.

I want to add more things so they can web on but my cork barks are rather smol and I don't want them to web up too high up. Any input or ideas?

What size are they? I just started one with 5 probs about 1cm about a month ago they have all moulted at least once. There not much bigger though and still don't have that colouration.

I bought them at L5 they moulted few times might be at L7 or L8. Hard to say because I see them once or twice a week. But last time I saw one stretching post moult from top to bottom it was around 4cm. Diagonal would be a little more I guess. They colored out a little bit only and only freshly moulted have very nice colors. :) I just feed them 3 worms or turk roaches every now and then so there is no chance of any cannibalism. Although I didn't see them act agressive towards each other at all. They just sit underground. That's it.

Yeah I can see mine as they have burrowd at the side, there always on top of each other, there in a 12x12x10cm and they all choose to be together in the one burrow.

That is very good! Means they assimilated into a group. If they made different burrows and stayed alone that would be scary. Seen some videos of very bad things happening in some communals of different species.

So they are 3cm of body lenght. I put them in that 20cm cube and 2 of them are in one corner and 1 is in the other. Will they establish a nest somewhere and they are just sitting and scouting right now or will they do oofa doofa territory bs and eat each other? I'm scratching my head. Hope I didn't make a massive mistake. But if I did it's going to be a lesson for all of us. They were quite easy to move as well.

After some time of watching them they all have took different corner of the enclosure. :/ Not sure how to deal with that. I tried pushing them all in one place and I made them a cave of their own but it doesn['t look like they like it.

I don't have enough experience to advise on this situation but will share my experience. I had 6 together and for the first year or so they made a burrow all together and did really well. I staggered their feeding to make sure everyone got enough and did research on the ideal enclosure size. However after a year one ate 3 of the others :( So I separated the remaining 3. The cannibal I have named Satan! She was really fat so I assume it was all her/him. One of the remaining ones was deformed for a few moults after that, bent legs, missing legs, maybe due to the stress of Satan :/

I don't know what I did wrong. My only theory is that maybe they were separated from their mother too young as when I received them as a group from the shop they were around 1cm each. I have heard people keep tons of them together repetitively and never get any cannibalism, so I also wonder if they do better as large groups and that way the dynamics work better? I read 5 or 6 should have been fine but saw someone recommend to not go lower than that.

I see, that is an interesting ecperience. I have only 3 of them and now after pushing them around they are finally in one cave. Close to each other but not on top of each other. And this is going to be their enclosure until the massive glass one. Unless they cannibilise then I will have to get smaller enclosure. Saw some 3 spider communals and they are good to this day. Not sure what can be the problem. I have siblings that lived (is that proper?) in the comunal since birth. I will probably update every now and then. I will add some pics now.
