Mold problem

Its seems like the log I have in my enclosure may have been previously used for hermit crabs as now it has mold spots on it. It doesn't seems like there was enough humidity to cause flourishing mold spots, but there you are... Do I just take it out or can I remove the mold somehow without risk to Rosie? I am thinking of bleach or boiling. Bleach seems hazardous so I would probably scrub and boil.

You can try to scrub it off. If it recurs I would replace the log.
