Model for Tarantula breeding and conservation

As a dart frogger I'm very familiar with the work of Tesoros de Columbia. I know Mexico has a similar program, but I'm not familiar with the details of how it works.
Why isn't this more prevalent with Tarantulas? This could work miracles in a country like Brazil. Thoughts?

My guess is funding. People are more likely to see the cute in an adorable little frog. It‘s harder to get donors to open their wallets for giant spiders. It’s hard to get a pulse on what changes public perception/sympathy.
