I have 12 inches....but I don't use it as a rule....PMSL
DLS (Diagonal Leg Span) is measured usually from a moult as you can spread the legs out without annoying your spider!
Basically, the tip of the front leg and the tip of the back leg on the opposite side (e.g. tip of LHS front to the tip of RHS back)

I prefer the 10" plate measurement method also...
ha ha....yes, that's an effective way to measure too....LOLI prefer the 10" plate measurement method also...
