I did a bit of research while waiting for answers to this thread yesterday.

With the Theraphosa species, it's easier to determine sex via ventral sexing then it is for most other species.

Males have a dark brown triangle in the middle of the upper book lungs, females do not.

Here's a picture of one for reference:

I also read that the furrow is different between male and female too. Females have a smile and males are almost straight across:

In the picture I posted, I don't see a dark triangle, and the furrow looks to be smiling. Here's a better and up close picture of the T I took this morning:

This T is a little over 4" DLS:

Too soon to see the dark triangle if it was there or should I see it at this size ?
