Little spot on my T.

Hi guys,
I am new when it comes to turantulas and I am still learning about them.

I have a question. One of my T's has a spot on the top of her abdomen and I am not sure if I need to be stressed and have it checked out or not....
She is about a year old and still growing strong :)...

I will attach a picture and I would appreciate any help from you guys.

Thanks
Carel

Welcome to the forum.

No need to worry. It's totally normal for Ts to have spots on their abdomen - Sometimes the spot is completely bald, sometimes dark, sometimes just... a spot. Terrestrial new world tarantulas kick / rub off urticating hairs (short, tiny, barb like hairs to cause irritation on predators) for defense and those hair won't grow back until next molt. Also, when Ts get in premolt, they may start losing some hair from the abdomen.

Also, it's good to use forum's search option as this is one of the most asked question, so there are several threads with plenty of answers and advice :)
