They're bulldozers and love to tunnel. you'll need substrate moist enough to hold shape (if you squeeze it and it drips it's too moist), i'd make the sub depth 3 times their dls, and a water dish. Maybe a hide depending on their size. I don't give mine hides until they start to get out of the dirt hole stage when they get to be about 1.5" or so.

B. albo's are awesome little bulldozer-y eating machines that are practically never sitting still. I gave mine 3 inches of sub, a leaf to hide under, and a water bottle cap for water. I never bothered misting or keeping sub moist, just kept the water dish full (you will soon find out this is easier said, than done.) I got mine at around 3/4 of an inch :)

Don't be shocked when the little guys decide they don't like the enclosure the way you set it up, and do some redecorating

Bahaha I love these spiders! The only thing I love more than mines redecorating is its amazing feeding response. Twice in a row now it has taken a cricket almost its same size and flipped over on its back mid tackle. Just awesome :)

As long as they have food and water they entertain you with their antics. Congrats on the new arrivals :T:

Thanks guys for the advice...
As of now I put them in individualy in a deli-cups with holes in the side for ventilation and substrate with right amount of moisture..
So far, one of them already reconstructing its enclosure, from a flat subatrate, now it looks like some kind of a mining site.. And I'm amazed, how the h*ll did he\she do that in a couple of hours or so...

It's incredible how much such tiny slings can shift and they never seems to stop.

It's almost therapeutic watching them work haha [emoji1]

Think I'm gonna make it a rule of our house to always have a B. albo sling. Once my current one gets to be a juvie, buy another sling.

That's how I ended up with 3 although they've all grown out of the digging stage now, still adorable Ts though.

Early morning I check the other three for their construction projects, since they aren't digging I leave to buy some cocopeat, then I came back... they are already settled with there reconstruction and I was like, oh shoot I missed the chance to watch how they work...

Maybe I could reconstruct their substrate and watch them work again.. Hehehe
(not gonna happen, I respect and adore those fuzzy little guys)

I never see my little 1/4" spiderling. The only reason I know they're alive is that the landscape changes in their enclosure. There was one little mound with a hole in the top, then a second, then a hole under the fake plant... and so on.
You have to resist digging them up because it is tempting, but will only stress them out.
I leave them food twice a week - a mealworm half - at the top of a mound with a hole and most times it is gone by the next day. I dribble water down one corner to keep it a bit moist and to provide a drink.
This is what I got for my effort... a look at the actual spider inside!

I feed mine twice a week

When they're tiny you can feed about every 4 days.
I feed my little 1/4" gal whenever she'll eat.

Thanks for the advices guys...

So there's a chance that I could watch them work again? (Btw.. I had the worst luck so I may actually miss that chance and regret later...)
