Avicularia avicularia are a medium sized arboreal and grow to around 4.5"- 5" in size under normal circumstances.

Males typically reach maturity in about 2 years and will be best identified by emboli at the end of it's pedipalps.

How large is that spider and the enclosure.

The tank is a ten gallon, and the spider itself is about an inch in width and 1.15 or 1.25 in length (not counting legs)

A spiderling that size should be in something roughly 2x2x3 in size. A ten gallon is waaaaaaaay too big.

I am rehousing my C versi today from snack cups (inverted DIY) to these:

Note vertical orientation with diagonal cork bark, foliage secured to the top section with a soil base with water dish.

However, something the size of a spice jar could work (with enough ventilation) for a sling your size.

Here's some light reading for you, if you want:

Rehouse and enjoy your spider, friend.
