I have a common PinkToe Tarantula, she is about 2, maybe 3 inches. I was moving her out of her enclosure so that I could drill more holes into it, as she needs more humidity, and in turn, ventilation.. but she jumped from my hand, down onto the floor. The drop was nearly two feet, but she appears to be fine.. I'm just afraid that she may be bleeding internally, just because the fall was so great.. Not to mention the moderately terrifying thump I heard as she impacted the ground. That being said, she bolted up my arm after returning her to her enclosure, so she's still moving at a regular pace (For a PinkToe), and everything seems to be in order. Thanks.

She's fine. Arboreals are built to take a fall. After all, they live way up in the trees out in the wild.

Yup, I agree with the others...as an arboreal, she should be fine.

If you don't mind me asking, why do you feel she needs more humidity? Does she have a water dish?

Got a vagans that fell from that height but is still fine. Had just molted too but is still a sling. So for an arboreal, I guess it should be fine.

Just posted something along that line: learn from your mistakes! That is learning and gaining experience is all about. :)
