I knew these Ts were known as the Trapdoor Tarantula but I saw it in operation for the 1st time a couple of days ago so I thought I'd get some pics. It's amazing to see the construction that has gone into it.

My normal view of Karoo's container. Please note that water bowl was full last night

I gently opened the door using a lollipop stick

It is always fascinating to me to watch trapdoor tarantulas or trapdoor spiders hunt.
