How To Check a Burrow For Any Possible Food Remains?

Fed my t. albopilosum for the first time yesterday. Fed it a non-cut meal worm. It made itself a burrow and to make sure it knew there was some food for it, I had the meal worm go down the burrow, which the tarantula quickly grabbed.

I am thinking that it may have eaten the whole thing, but I am unable to see well into the burrow to be sure. If it didn't I would like to be able to pull the rest of it out.

How do I go about doing that? Can I disturb it in it's burrow?

Hi
It will be ok.Dont disturb your spider for minor things like that.If the remains are bothering your spider it will kick them out somewhere. Usually they keep all boluses (remains) in same area .Do not force food down its burrow just drop pray item in if it is hungry it will find it.Some feeders burrow in substrate (superwarms, mealworms ,dubia roaches)just crush their heads before offering them

Tickle the spider to the surface...then feed it.

My albopilosum routinely cleans out his burrow. Usually before a moult. He calls for curbside trash collection by piling his junk ( boluses, legs from his last moult etc) in a corner.

Edit: Deleted my post and reposted so @Arachnoclown 's posts make more sense.
