How quick is T venom?

How long does it take for new world T venom to incapacitate prey?

Earlier today I fed my G. porteri a medium to large roach and went down to dinner. I came back a half hour later and my T was still standing tall holding a still moving/ flailing roach.

I know that roaches can remain twitching their legs for days after being incapacitated by a human, but I thought venom might do the trick, assuming my spider did envenom it.

I'm assuming that venom takes some part in the eating process, but for NW, the fangs do most of the damage.

Ah, thanks. I guess I assumed the venom helped to disable like snake venom. But now that you mentioned it, my brain does remember that the venom helps turn the insides into an easier digestible soup or mash.
