How often?

How often do y'all check on your Ts? Being that I just have a couple atm I generally check in on them once or twice a day but I wonder if that maybe causing them some undo stress, I was just wondering if this is normal or if perhaps I'm being a bit over zealous in fussing over them

daily. I check them all when i check their water dishes after work. Or rather i check the enclosure as the majority of mine are burrowed down and rarely seen yet ;)

I check mine all the time, not because they need it so much as I enjoy them and like to catch them burrowing or grooming ^^
once mine grow up and quit playing in the dirt ;) i'll spend more time watching them. But what fun is watching a box of dirt?

I do watch the GBB's. they're not quite pet rocks. Usually content to sit in their webbing but you'll catch them fixing or adding to the web.

Unless you're opening the enclosures when you check on them I don't think it's causing any stress. But I am constantly stopping what I am doing to check on mine just because, see if anyone molted, etc.

What do you mean when you say check on them? I stare at mine all the time when I'm at home, even till the wee hours of morn. As well as stare at my pond of kois. :D

I guess I should have specified lol I keep my sling enclosures inside a ten gallon tank to keep the cat out of them so for me to really get a good look at them I have to take there containers out for closer inspection ie to make sure water bowls are full subs moist no uneaten food bits lying about ect

Well, just like with Scoolman, mine is arranged so that I don't have to move anything. I just use a flashlight with the ones that are in the dark.

That shouldn't cause much undue stress. Check up on them as much as you find necessary, they are your beloved pets, after all. :)

I check on mine off and on all day, when I'm home. I use a flashlight, but some, mostly slings, can't be seen without disturbing them. If I don't see one I assume its hiding and don't worry about it. But visual confirmation? Once a week for slings, usually the same for juvies, and every 2 weeks for big ones..but all my big spiders are right there looking at me, except for two burrowers. Feeding is when I confirm their health 100%.

Some of my brachys right now are burrowing especially during molts. Can take 2 weeks to a month. :( Makes one itch just to see them, I sometimes lift their enclos just to shine a flashlight under it. :p

I do that with all of mine. Have to since they're all pretty much crammed on top of my son's dresser until the contractors get off their asses and fix the wall in my room  To get the lids off they have to be moved. I turn them all so their burrows (if they burrowed agains the side so they can be seen) aren't facing each other. Not sure if that matters, but i didn't think it'd be good to have 2 different species staring each other down with less than an inch between ;)
