Could you get a more zoomed out but not too far pic? It looks like Haplopelma albostriatum or minax from my perspective

Looks to be Hysterocrates Crassipes, but photos can be misleading and Crassipes gets mistaken as being the Hercules which its not.

Was also thinking Crassipes hey!

But that is kind of an "unheard" of spider,as in South Africa the Hysterocrates sp are so hybridized.

The striation and color is what gave it away for me,but that is just my view on it and very far away from haplos since I collect haplos by the way beautiful Albostriatum.

Obviously hybrids can happen,all over the world it is a possibility. You will find pure specimens,but usually that will need an origin of wild caught with some types. Luckily spermatheca and many other avenues can be followed,and all depends how serious you are about the hobby and Willing to throw in huge amount of hours.

But now u see we have what u would call a "baboon spider god" here in SA, he thinks he knows every thing,n says it is NOT Crassipes.....

Obviously he must have a reason,have you asked him why he says that ? Send the spermatheca for comparison,so it can be checked and compared and confirmed or denied as being the specimen.

In South Africa we have a huge problem of every tom **** and harry breeding, and inexperienced people buying specimens incorrectly bred.
