help smaller than thought avic versicolor

i was supposed to receive an adult but instead i recevied what looks like a baby or subadult was wonder if i should just feed small crickets

Yeah def. Not versicolor. If I had to guess from that pic either A. avic or A. metallica, but positively ID'ing most avics is quite difficult. But versicolor is one that is very distinguishable.

That should have been a big clue right there. An adult versi would have cost significantly more. I can almost guarantee you its WC and no one will be able to accurately ID it. I would just keep it labeled Avicularia sp.

I would say a Avicularia metallica or Avicularia Avicularia both fall into that price range. I am leaning more towards the Metallica side though . Avic Avic tend to have darker bodies.
