So im transfering my juve Nhandu tripepii into a new enclosure but i have a few issues or questions. its current enclosure seems to have an 80% humidity yet its very dry but the new enclosure is very very moist as i had to add water to the coco soil to expand it. is 80% humidity too high if not is it safe to still transfer the T into the new enclosure? i havent checked the new enclosures humidity but if its current one is 80% i wouldnt be surprised if the new one is much higher. i also have another question. ive got a huge piece of cork bark in the new enclosure but i feel like the T might not feel safe or comfy enough in the burrow ive made it. the hole is very big compared to the T and i feel like i should fill the hole up on the inside of the cork bark and then let the T do the work. all of these questions have photos attached below including a photo of the T. the old enclosure is the tub with the alot less soil. The new enclosure is the one with the huge cork bark tunnel, and a photo of the humidity on the meter.

just to mention. its the next day, i think the thermometer with humidity on it has water inside so it was faulty. but the T's current enclosure is very dry and the new one is just insanely moist. idk if its a risk to transfer him now or if i should wait.

Substrate level looks OK but the soil looks wet. As I recommended in the A. genic post, add a dry corner to the enclosure. I really don't think you need to worry about humidity right now, as that substrate will stay damp for a long time. There is ample ventilation towards the top as well, so I think it will work.

yes okay. as from what i heard tripepiis like burrowing alot so ive given it a chunk of substrate. the reason the soil is so wet is cuz i had to add water to a block of coco to expand it but may have added a bit too much. but one question, is that big hut too big of a burrow for him? i did add some soil into it so he can maybe make the entrance a bit smaller but still im not sure if its too open for him. and yea because all of the soil is very damp will it still be okay to transfer him as i dont want another genic situation. and yes alot of ventilation in these type of enclosures that i get.

The sub in her enclosure now looks wet too, so I think it'll be alright.

If it's dry, why not use some of that dry sub in the new enclosure?

USE GLOVES, this species hairs are ROUGH.

ill see if i can find gloves and maybe glasses and a mask. i could do with using that dry substrate tbf but ive already put leaf litter and moss around to decorate the place and ive already dug the cork bark into the soil, plus if i add this it will become too much soil and will be too high. but i guess i can mess around with it a bit.
