Help me Identify her... Rather Unique and I've not seen this before.

Is she a barking/Whistling spider? Or something else?

So. This girl was found about 3 years ago- At Mt Garnet in QLD - Australia (Near Cairns).

When found; she was thought be a common Barking spider/Whistling spider (I had seen photo's of her and I myself even thought so too).

Now she has just hit 3 and started showing a real growth spurt- My guess is she is starting to Mature as I've picked up her feeding in-take.

But here is the strange part- I've had a female whistler before. They - well... Make the noise. She is yet to do this- and has now got some coloration occurring on the tips of her legs (green/yellow) as seen in the photo I am attaching.

This has got me so puzzled that I've decided to seek help from various forums (hence the first post).

Please- Anyone know what is going on her? What is she? Is she just a unique barking spider? Or an entirely different species. I've never seen a whistler/barking with this coloration.

P.s. There's nothing in her enclosure to give her color on her feet (e.g paint/chalk or anything stupid like that) and I thought it was the photo I took/Camera. But even holding up the L.E.D Torch (not on her eyes. Don't bother to have a cry- She is very stable) and looking I can see the color VERY clear (As clear as the picture)

I have also posted a top view of her- And there is where you will see my confusion- She just looks... well... Like a barker.

If someone could get back to me A.S.A.P with a definitive answer. I'd love to know if she needs a different habitat (Dirt/Leaves/etc) & heating. Now it's in winter & this time around i've noticed she is starting to become- Slower. I do not want her to be forced into hibernation (she's not had to do it so far- But she was in a warmer area of the house (which is no longer an option)).

Wow, what a gorgeous tarantula! I looked at the pics before reading your post and immediately thought some type of Phlogius species.

I am in NO way an expert on this. However, while researching the Phlogius genus ("barking spiders"), I noticed that there appear to be many species that are not fully described or sorted out yet. I've seen a lot of "Phlogius sp. ..."with some type of generic name after it. For example, there is Phlogius Crassipes, Phlogius Crassipes "Eunice", Phlogius sp. "Stents", Phlogius sp. "black/presley", and Phlogius sp. "Hirsutus". I'm sure that there are probably more. I know there is someone on Arachnoboards who knows a lot about this species...perhaps try there?

Good luck! :)
