So I tried to feed my Brachypelma albopilosum (Curly hair tarantula) today for the first time. This is my first spider, and the gal at the pet store said he will eat twice a week, mealworms. I dropped one in and all that is happening is my spider is basically trying to escape the mealworm (which is inside his burrow). Now I am a bit worried since I have read the mealworm could actually kill my spider. What should I be doing here? This happened about an hour ago with no change. Thanks, this is my first tarantula and I have had him a grand total of 3 days:) the picture a bit tough to see, but the spider is in the top right of the den thing he made (which seems to be getting bigger every day). Also, the spider seems very active and healthy, with a nice fat belly, so did I just feed to soon?
