Well, I follow the dark den, tarantula kat, birdspidersch, tom moran, serpa design...few fishing channels and recently got into off grid living videos...some bushcraft stuff too.

Sorry for the late reply. My suggestion to you is look at the channels that you like. What is it about them that you like? What do you not like about them? Dissect that stuff and also ask yourself "What is my niche? What could I do better?"

I am familiar with all the tarantula channels you mentioned and watch frequently. After seeing your vids I would say that you got some quality stuff. Maybe the difference between you and say Petko is that at this stage his channel is fully realized. He knows what he wants to do and has his format down. That comes with time and you are well on your way!

As a musician I had to do the same. Anyone who has the ballz to step in the public eye needs to figure this stuff out. Just keep keeping on! You got quality content. And it comes off as honest and authentic!

One great video can make a channel. Take Exotic's Lair for example (let the hate come my way lol). He was getting buried by guys like Jon3800 and Tarantula dan. Then out comes watering my t's #1 and due to the novelty it gets a million views. That's how youtube works :) You never know what will go viral. Wish you luck and I will help to promote your stuff when I can!

If you don't like clickbait, whatever you do, avoid 95% of paranormal channels if you ever come across any.
Do you have any recs for any good paranormal content? I've been enjoying the Hellier series, there hasn't been much in the way of 'DUDE! DUDE, RUN!' and more quieter 'what the heck is even going on here?' which is making it super unpopular but I've enjoyed it.

If you see a slightly trippy watercolour of a GBB on the main table (tucked in the corner, if memory serves), that'll be my work! :T: It's going to be touch and go if I can make it this year though, but fingers crossed.

Other than Exotics Lair and The Dark Den, tarantula/invert channels don't seem to do amazing on youtube but they do seem to have a loyal fanbase.
Your videos are pretty solid, you've got good pacing and information and I subscribed straight away but you've got to be true to yourself and your vision for your channel. I'm a content creator myself and one trick to being happy is to value the fans you've got, they'll ride and die with you and enjoy your content because it's your content and share your passion. These fans are worth a lot more than some fly-by-nights who checked out a video because it's got a great clickbait title. Also, find a photo of 800 people, that's your fanbase and that's a lot of people.
That being said, don't forget to have fun with your channel, keep in mind why you love your animals and why you love sharing them with the world.
Personally, I'm enjoying your creative DIY videos, which seem to be the least popular, but they're honestly great!
Oh, I so much like to make weird stuff :))) Like seriously, it's one third of the hobby for me. Thank you!
