My mom had sprayed a little air freshener in my room where my tarantula is and she told me she had sprayed it on the opposite side of the room where the tarantula is. I totally freaked and covered her enclosure with a towel and I’m trying to air out the freshener with a fan. Will my T be ok?

I wouldn't try sniffing it to see if it smells more fresh or not.
Seriously though, unless she sprayed it directly or set off a can the size of a car your spider will be just fine.

I would just keep an eye on your T. The exposure sounds minimal if at all. What chemicals were involved and what impact they could have would require a lot of research, I would think.

Felicity, (Flick) my stirmi came from a home where they used joss sticks, smoked cannabis & she even has a branch off a Christmas tree in her enclosure & pine trees have a natural insecticide in them. So my guess would be your T will be perfectly fine.

Spray air fresheners will cause symptoms of the spider being poisoned if used heavily in their space. It's mainly the droplets that rain down that cause the damage.

My wife use to complain about my T room smelling earthy. To keep her from spraying and lighting candles I started using the little tree car air fresheners in my T rooms. I've been doing this for well over 10 years now with no effects on my spiders. I just hang one on the back of my door and my wife hasn't complained. I've only used vanilla so I can't contest other scents having adverse effects.
