Help Age my Rose Hair?

Hi everyone, so recently my Chilean Rose hair passed away and I wanted to try and figure out her age. I had her for 10 years, and she only molted once in 2016. I got her in 2010 at a Petco, and she was about the size of my palm, including legspan. I would like to think she was already mature when I got her. Any ideas?

Hi
Tarantula size of your palm speaks adult when you bought it but apart from that is not possible to determine age as there are far too many variables and unknowns that are in play.

There is only 1 way to tell a tarantulas age and that’s if you produced it. Anything else is a guess. Size has no relation to age other than the older it is the bigger it can be. Temperature and feeding habits are the 2 biggest factors that contribute to the growth of a tarantula (females grow slower but it doesn’t matter in this context). At the end of the day as long as you cared for her properly and enjoyed having her the age is irrelevant
