Welcome! Fellow Illinoisan here. It's a great hobby and T's are fascinating creatures. Tons of resources here on this forum too. The classifieds here are a good place to find your first T, and please ask any questions you have and we'll be happy to answer. Some "other" forums have a very elitist attitude towards new keepers, but you won't find that at Tarantula Forum.

Recommended reading: Stan Schultz. There are many questions answered here, and on AB, the search function will save you, in a pinch. Youtube, forums and papers by arachnologists will get you through any problems or questions. Enjoy, and welcome to the hobby.
