Heart skip to beat and not in a good way

I like to check on my sling at least a couple times a day to make sure he's okay. Today I opened his enclosure and lifted up his little leaf hide and he's gone. I thought I was going to faint. But then I realized he's burrowed. He's invisible now pretty easy to tell that this is my first tarantula from this experience
