Getting my 4th tarantula tomorrow

Very excited to be getting a new tarantula tomorrow, a curly hair!!! If anyone has any tips keeping one let me know. I did my research and have enclosure all ready for my new addition.

Overflow water dish periodically, be sure there is plenty of substrate in the enclosure, as they are always rearranging. Keep the camera on standby. I find B. albopilosum interesting to watch come molting time.

Congratulations! They are great fun and sooooo floofy!
Mine has very deep substrate and is, as other posts said always, arranging and rearranging the soil and digging new tunnels.
Looking forward to seeing the photos too!

I can't wait to see that with mine. Right now it hasn't done anything yet except lightly webbed some of the flooring. I love when tarantulas excavate lol

You should get an obt, or a scorpion, scorps are excavating machines.

What are some good sp of scorp? I only have a vinegaroon, want to grab a couple more

Any American Centroides(gracillis, vitatas, etc.) My personal favorite are H. paucidens. Theres also R junceus, great looking scorps, and the desert hairy is the king of excavating.

I have vinegaroons and they dig burrows, great fun to watch and amazing how much soil they can move.
But Here’s my girl Pandora doing some digging!
