Ever get a Tarantula and it molts right after housing?

I am trying not to disturb as I know this is a very delicate time but I received them yesterday and was just checking how they settling into the enclosure and to my surprise the Hamori molted.has this happened to anyone before? Isn’t it bad to ship in premolt? I hope she is ok!!

I've had them moult in transit and they've been fine.

I think it’s all based on opinion, I’ve had several molt in transit or shortly after with no complications. If I were shipping, I would wait to ship anything over 2” DLS if they are in premolt.

I've had a few molt immediately after being housed and never had any problems. I have not had any molt during transit though.

I rehoused a 3” OBT and it molted 15 minutes later.

I rehoused 15 Ts last week nobody was due a moult yet 11 of them have now moulted and it seems very common for something newly rehoused to moult I know people breeding Rehouse to try and get a moult before mating but I've never had any issues

Oh thats interesting! I would have assumed they would pause a molt if stressed, as it puts them in such a vulnerable position.
