Evaporating water

Hello all

I have a bit of a problem which I don't see a solution to.

The water in the water dishes in my spiderlings enclosures evaporates really quickly and I have to replace water a couple of times a day.

I live in a temperate climate moving into spring. They are not situated in direct sun light or near radiators. The heating is rarely on unless it gets really cold.

What am I doing wrong and is there anything I can do other than keep filling the dishes. I'm worried that if I keep filling the dishes I'm going to raise the humidity to much for the spiderlings.

Thanks for reading this far and for any response.

Andy

What are are you using for water dishes? I use plastic bottle tops but I do know that some of the small resin bowl that you can buy leak. Also any substrate that gets into the bowl will quickly syphon water out.

Hi Enn49
I’m using little spiderling water dishes I bought from the spidershop. I can't see any cracks or holes in them.

I have water dishes in some of my enclosures that seem to be made from some kind of porous substance, maybe terracotta... But every time I fill them up the water goes right through them and into the substrate bellow. It's never a leaking puddle. I e check. The water just goes right through and luckily because I have deep substrate in those enclosures they keep that sides substrate moist. But knowing that T's can also get water from Thier food and stay cool and moist in moister substrate I try to no worry but I'm def going to be replacing them. For now. I mist the sides of the enclosure so they have water droplets and I water Thier bowls/substrate as it dries out so not to over moisten Thier substrate. Not all water bowls are created equal I guess. I am also looking into something that I could seal them with that would be safe for the T's to be around and drink from.
