Hi guys and girls i have a sling Eupalaestras Campestratus and it seems she loves water. I dpnt have a water dish in her enclosure because she buries it. I mist every day twice and she always sits on the spot where its wet. Is that normal? And it looks like she pounces to the spot where i mist is she hungry?

How big is she? I've found that even dry species like to sit on the moist area sometimes, depending on the spider. And it's perfectly normal for them to bury their dish, many do, and striking at water droplets is common as well :) Only way to know if she's hungry is to throw some prey in there.

My porteri have a running argument over water dishes, I keep insisting she have one and she shows me how foolish I am by repeatedly burying it.

I've started to use little disposable plastic souffle cups for my some of my juvenile/sub adults that like to bury their dishes. For the little ones, my students have been collecting their water bottle caps and donating to the cause. If they fill the dishes with dirt, I can just pluck them out with my tongs, drop in a new one, and either clean out or recycle the old one. And, in the case when they complete bury it (I have more than a few who have flipped them and used them as part of their dens) I can just drop in a new one. I had a Phormictopus cancerides juvie that had four water dishes before I rehoused her.

Its silly but I rather enjoy that behavior, them utilizing things in their enclosure that way,
My porteri had, at one point I think it was six gatorade caps in there, I just gave her new ones :p
I reuse most things as my dishwasher has a steam clean cycle so I just steam anything I'm going to use for them.
She now has a vasoline cap, a big rectangular cap about .75 of an inch deep,
I rarely put any water in it now, she still drags it around dependant on her mood ^.^
