What do you guys feed your dubias, specifically for the purpose of nourishing Ts? Assuming no other animals but Ts will be eating them.

How often are they fed? And roughly how much food, how often?

Any other information beyond the barebone basics for dubia husbandry is appreciated. This is purely for my curiousity.

I gut load mine a day before using as a feeder with fish food flakes and various fruits / vegetables - for example oranges, lettuce, cucumber, carrot, kale, apple, sweet potato... I prefer organic to be sure that no pesticides were used.

Other than gut loading, I keep giving my colony the same stuff mentioned above every now and then with no regular feeding rhythm. I keep the colony in room temperature because I currently have no need to speed up their breeding.

No regular rhythm, but is that like every 3 days? Twice a month? To ballpark or give an average

My dubia roach colony is about 5,000 strong now. I make my own roach chow which is available at all times which I make myself:
Oat bran
Wheat bran
Honey Nut Cheerios
Froot Loops
Gold Fish flake food
Human cereal has added vitamins and minerals by law and the roaches tend to have a sweet tooth.
I will also throw in carrots, apples and bananas on the side. I also do the same with my red runner colony.

At one time I had 40 bins and 18 species. I tried all of the above and more. Over the years I did many side-by-side comparisons. Nothing worked any better than the following: I keep dog or cat kibble in one corner and some produce of some sort in the other. Whatever you've got laying around will work. Oranges, apples, carrots, potato, lettuce heels, bananas, etc.. Anything they can get moisture from.

Here is a thread I did on the subject. All sorts of tips in the conversation: https://tarantulaforum.com/threads/how-to-start-a-roach-colony.22389/
